Čakovečki bend Dead Dog Summer predstavlja svoj prvi singl „A Wish (All About Me)“ koji najavljuje njihov prvi album planiran za početak iduće godine.

Dead Dog Summer su novo ime na hrvatskoj punk/hardcore sceni, a čine ga Igor Bistrović (gitara, vokal), Krešo Žerjav (bass, vokal) i Boris Strahija (bubnjevi).

Ovaj trio aktivan je na sceni više od 25 godina te su bili dio nekadašnjih bendova The Farewell Reason, Nikad, Senata Fox, Implicite, Youth Against i mnogih drugih.

Bend je osnovan krajem 2020. godine, a sama ideja o novom bendu se već dugo kuhala u glavama članova pa su pandemija i lockdown bili odlično vrijeme za ujedinjenje, druženja i radu na onome što najviše vole, a to je stvaranje glazbe i sviranje.

Kad bi opisivali glazbu Dead Dog Summer, najlakše bi ih bilo reći da se radi o post hardcore-u kakav se svirao krajem 90-ih, a naziv predstavlja „pasju vrućinu“ koja je kuhala u prostoriji za probe posljednjih godinu dana otkako su dečki stvarali svoj album prvijenac.

Bend je snimio kompletan materijal u vlastitom studiju, dok je miks odradio Filip Sertić iz studija Depth.

Dead Dog Summer svoj premijerni nastup imaju već ove subote u Čakovcu na festivalu 3FF (subota, 4.9. u 19.15 sati)

Dead Dog Summer – new band on Croatian punk/hardcore scene

New Croatian band Dead Dog Summer presents their first single “A Wish (All About Me)” which announces their debut album planned for the beginning of next year.

Dead Dog Summer is a new name on the Croatian punk / hardcore scene and members of the band are Igor Bistrovic (guitar, vocals), Kreso Zerjav (bass, vocals) and Boris Strahija (drums).

Members of the band has been active on the scene for over 25 years in bands like The Farewell Reason, Nikad, Senate Fox, Implicite, Youth Against and many others.

The band was formed in late 2020 but the idea of a new band has been brewing in their minds for a long time so the pandemic and lockdown were a great time to spend some time and work on what they love most, making music and playing.

If we describe the music of Dead Dog Summer, it would be easiest to tell that it is post hardcore as it was played in the late 90’s and the name represents “dog heat” that has been cooking in the rehearsal room for the last year since the boys created their debut album.

The band recorded the complete material in their own studio while mixing was done by Filip Sertić from Depth studio.
