17. FAKI – Festival alternativnog kazališnog izričaja, održava se ove godine od 17.12. do 20.12. te je posvećen temi specifičnih klimatskih uvjeta i njihovoj međusobnoj uvjetovanosti s prostornim kontekstom, koji u zajedničkoj sprezi oblikuju formu i sadržaj djela.  Festivalska rezidencija traje od 5.12. do 20.12. te nudi umjetnicima marginalnih i avangardnih izvedbenih praksi da provedu dva tjedna u Zagrebu i pripreme rad prema temi festivala, oblikuju ga za vrijeme rezidencije i predstave izvedbom na festivalu u formi koju dotad nisu isprobali.

 

U kojoj mjeri klimatski (kao vanjski) i mikroklimatski (kao unutarnji) uvjeti utječu na proces nastanka umjetničkog rada i na koji način transformiraju originalnu autorsku zamisao? Možemo li manipulirati klimatskom situacijom baveći se njome kao temom? Afirmiramo li ju kao silu o kojoj ovisimo, ali na koju ne utječemo kad se brzo i spretno prilagođavamo izmjenama njenog ritma? Možemo li izložiti zajednicu istim uvjetima pod kojima sami djelujemo i kako to utječe na karakter djela? Ima li teatar autonomnu vremensku atmosferu ili je to umjetnički naivna pretpostavka?

 

FAKI kao festival alternativnog teatra, uličnog teatra, performansa, off i low budget teatra, afirmira ideju o teatru kao kolektivnoj, inkluzivnoj umjetnosti koja oživljuje i postaje čimbena za zajednicu tek u sprezi s njom, kad okuplja i integrira cijeli lokalitet kao potencijalnu publiku pod zajednički progresivni i kreativni nazivnik.

 

Želimo omogućiti uvjete za neprestano kreiranje i komunikaciju, ne želimo umjetnika ili kazališni kolektiv izdvojiti iz zajednice ne bi li on mogao istu reflektirati s uobličenim i artikuliranim idejama kojima vremenska odgoda od trenutno proživljenog iskustva pruža utočište u korištenju poznatih resursa i diskursa izgrađene ličnosti umjetnika, već ga upravo izmjestiti od navika stvaranja i mišljenja u mjeri u kojoj je to moguće, kao eksperiment na privatnoj i društvenoj osobnosti, ne bi li identitet u stalnoj tranziciji, stalnoj razmjeni s okolinom i pod stalnim vanjskim utjecajem, došao bliže svojoj originalnoj biti, ispoljenoj upravo u objektu kreacije koju je moguće analizirati i koja najzornije pripovijeda tko smo i koliko nas ima ispod ljušture lijepog, kompromisnog identiteta koji nosimo iz doma na ulicu.

 

Pozivaju se samostalni autori-izvođači, kao i kolektivi da se prijave za rezidencijalni boravak na 17. FAKI-ju posvećenom temi klimatske determiniranosti, bez ograničenja na rod, žanr i karakter djela.

 

Vrijeme rezidencije: 5.12.-20.12.

Lokacija: Autonomni kulturni centar Attack, Pierottijeva 11, 10 000 Zagreb

 

Rezidencija pokriva putne troškove, smještaj i hranu. Probe i izvedbe održavaju se u crnoj žonglerskoj dvorani koja je opremljena s osnovnim tehničkim svojstvima (light, sound, projekcijsko platno i projektor, tehničari, ispicijent).

OPEN CALL FOR RESIDENCY AT FAKI 17!

The 17th edition of Festival of alternative theatric expression – FAKI – is held in Zagreb 17-20 December 2014. The theme of this year’s festival is specific climatic conditions, their interdependability with spatial context, and the way they can be combined to form the structure and the content of a work. Festival residency is taking place from December 5^th till 20^th, offering to artists of marginal and avantgarde performing practices a chance to spend two weeks in Zagreb and prepare a performance piece according to festival’s theme. Performance needs to be shaped during the residency period and presented at the festival in a form that authors have never tried.

 

To which degree can climatic (external) and microclimatic (internal) conditions influence the process of creating a work of art and in which way do they transform the original artistic concept? Can we manipulate the climatic situation by making it a subject of our work? Do we affirm it as a force we depend on, but cannot influence, when we are quick and crafty in adapting to the changes of its rhythm? Can we expose the community to the same conditions that we ourselves are working in and how does it affect the character of the piece? Does the theater create an autonomous climatic atmosphere, or is that notion artistically naïve?

 

As a festival of alternative theater, street theater, performance, off- and low-budget theater, FAKI affirms the idea of theater as a collective, inclusive art, reviving the community and finding its true function only in conjuction with it, when the entire environment is involved and integrated as potential audience with the common progressive and creative denominator.

 

We want to create conditions of continuous production and communication, not to exclude the artist or a theater collective from community so they could reflect on it with predefined and articulated notions, using the time delay from temporal experience as a safe haven for the familiar resources and discourses of formed artistic personae, but to dislocate them as far as possible from the habits of creation and reflection, as an experiment in private and social personality, so that the identity, through the permanent transition and exchange with the environment, and under permanent external influence, comes closer to its original essence, exposed in the very object of creation which can be analyzed and tell the most candid story of who we are and how many of us are there beneath the shell of the beautiful, compromised identity that we carry from our home out into the street.

 

We invite performance artists and collectives to apply for a residency at FAKI 17, devoted to the subject of climatic determination, regardless of the genre, form and character of their vision.

 

Time of residency: December 5^th – 20^th

Location: Autonomous Culture Centre Attack, Pierottijeva 11, 10000 Zagreb

 

Residency covers travel costs, accommodation and food. Rehearsals and performance will be held in the black joggler hall, which is equipped with basic technical requirements (light, sound, projection sheet and projector, technicians, stage manager).
